The museum, part of the Center in the Square complex, houses a permanent collection of American art from the 19th and 20th centuries. The museum also includes folk art created by Southern mountaineers, changing exhibitions and an interactive art center for children. Guided tours are available. Call for hours of the operation. Free to the public, but admission may be charged during special events.
