Once the home of Fairview Farm built by Samuel Shackelford shortly after the Revolutionary War, this two-story timber house stands in front of the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club clubhouse. Fairview House Bed and Breakfast is a two-story timber house elegantly restored offering 6 working fireplaces, three separate bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and 2 balconies with scenic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The formal dining room on the main floor seats sixteen persons at a single table. There is also a "publick room" on the lower level with a brick floor, beamed ceiling, and large stone working fireplace. In the morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast on one of the second-story balconies as you enjoy the sweeping views of the surrounding landscape.
