Front Royal

Front Royal is located in Warren County, of which it is the county seat, 60 miles west of Arlington between Riverton and Linden along Highway 522/340 just off I66 near the Shenandoah River and Sky Meadows State Park. It is in the Central Region of the state. The 1787 Balthis House on Chester St is a treasure trove of history.

The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 13,464, an increase of 1,584 since 1990.

Front Royal is part of the Washington metro area.
