Here on July 7, 1777 a rear guard action by Col. Seth Warner's Vermont, Massachusetts and New Hampshire troops, retreating from Fort Ticonderoga, ended British and Hessian pursuit under generals Fraser and Riedesel. A diorama, interpretive display and relief map depict the battle.
