The Bingham Memorial School was built in 1960, consolidating the six one room school houses in operation up until that time. It is the only school in the Cornwall School District. It now houses Cornwall students in Kindergarten through Grade Six. Older students attend Middlebury Union Middle School and Middlebury Union High School. It is part of the Addison Central Supervisory Union. Comprehensive, coordinated curriculums, which are aligned with Vermont state standards, have been developed in all academic content areas. Students receive rigorous, developmentally appropriate instruction in reading, writing, language arts, and math daily. Units in science and social studies are also taught several times a week.
