Founded in 1958, the Anacortes History Museum operates a gallery in the 1909 Carnegie Library building, which includes a Victorian parlor, cannery office, photographs, and period furnishings among its displays of local history. It is open year-round Thursday-Monday from 1:00 to 5:00. Donations are suggested and graciously accepted.
Our research library contains books, photographs, and documentation on the history of Fidalgo and Guemes Islands. For use of research facilities, appointments are appreciated. Also visit our National Historic Landmark Sternwheel Snagboat W.T. PRESTON.
