Blaine

Blaine is a safe attractive community of approximately 4000 residents located on Drayton Harbor just south of the British Columbia border.

First settled in 1856, it enjoyed a fleeting boom during the Fraser River gold rush. After the Homestead Act began attracting farmers to the area about 1870, Blaine became a dairy supply center and fishing port. Blaine is where Interstate 5 crosses into British Columbia in northern Whatcom County.

There is also a Blaine, Minnesota.

Blaine is part of the Bellingham, WA metro area.
