The original Fort Vancouver was the headquarters and main supply depot for the Hudson's Bay Company in 1820. It was located within the current confines of the city of Vancouver, Washington.

The Fort eventually came under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Army, but a fire in 1866 destroyed all of the old buildings. The Army continued to use the fort and built the houses in Officer's Row, which remain today within , which remain today within [ftvannhs].

The site has been designated as a National Monument and National Historic Site.
