Goldendale

Goldendale, at the crossroads of Highway 97 and Hwy 142, is the county seat of Klickitat County. It is in south central Washington, near the Oregon border. Goldendale is a farming community - mostly wheat and alfalfa are grown, as well as barley and other crops.

Goldendale is home to one of the highest-powered telescopes in the nation at Goldendale Observatory State Park. Goldendale is also the home of Maryhill Museum of Art.
