Puyallup

After crossing the plains in a covered wagon, Ezra Meeker arrived at a site that is just east of what is now Tacoma and named it for the Puyallup Indian Tribe, the name meaning "generous people."

Puyallup is the home of a thriving flower bulb industry, and a drive through the area in spring will often yield views of fields in blossom.

Puyallup is part of Pierce County.

Puyallup is part of the Tacoma, WA metro area.
