Tomah

Tomah is located in Monroe County between Eau Claire and Madison at the junction of I-90 and I-94 near Camp Douglas, Sparta, the Black River State Forest, Fort McCoy Military Reservation, and the Whitetail Ridge Ski Area.

Tomah was named to honor a Native American chief, Chief Tomah, for his strong character and high ideals. Tomah is also the boyhood home of Comic Strip originator Frank King, Gasoline Alley, which is Superior Avenue.
