Waupaca is located in Waupaca County (of which it is the county seat) between Stevens Point and Appleton along US Highway 10 on the banks of the Waupaca River near Manawa, Iola, New London, and Hartman Creek State Park. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 5,813, an increase of 867 since 1990.
