Avampato Discovery Museum

The Avampato Discovery Museum is the successor of the former Sunrise Museum, which enjoyed a rich history of more than 40 years serving Charleston and the surrounding area.

The Museum consists of two floors of Science Galleries with interactive science exhibits, a 9,000 square foot Art Museum, entitled the Juliet Museum of Art and the ElectricSkyTM Theater, which presents planetarium shows, large format films, and laser shows.

Regular hours are 10am to 5pm Tuesday V Saturday, 12 noon to 5pm Sunday and closed Monday. The ElectricSky Theater will also be open Friday and Saturday for films at 7pm and laser shows at 8, 9:30 and 11pm.
