Located five miles north of Point Pleasant, it contains the greatest variety of wildlife habitats in any of WV's Wildlife Areas. Elevation ranges from 560 to 824 feet. 600 acres farmland, 900 acres brushland, 160 acres wetland and 1,100 acres mixed hardwood forest combine to provide excellent hunting for deer, waterfowl, turkey, squirrel, rabbit, grouse, mourning dove and woodcock. Trapping for muskrat, mink, beaver and raccoon is productive. Shooting range. Warmwater fishing is allowed in 35 of the ponds, mostly bass and bluegill. Channel catfish and northern pike are stocked in several lakes. Nine rustic campsites with drinking water and vault toilets are available for a nominal fee. Owned by WVDNR.
