The Beech Fork is located 12 miles south of Huntington and Barboursville. The park has six deluxe vacation cottages overlooking the Beech Fork Lake. The cottages are open year-round and feature modern amenities such as heat and air conditioning, fireplaces, fully furnished living areas and kitchens, microwave, television, telephone, and grill. A deluxe campground, featuring 275 sites in four different areas, provides full service bathhouses and restroom facilities- complete with coin operated laundry. Each camp contains a grill and picnic table. The Park's 'Wooten Recreation Area' facilitates basketball, tennis, horseshoes, softball and volleyball. Nearby attractions include Marshall University, Huntington Museum of Art, Cabell-Huntington and St. Mary's Hospitals.
