Wyoming Frontier Prison

This prison in Rawlins replaced the territorial prison in Laramie in 1901 and operated for exactly 80 years. For a small fee you can receive a guided tour of the cell blocks, visiting rooms, and death house. The reception area contains a museum with photographs and other prison artifacts. Reservations are recommended for wintertime tours.

Our tour season is Memorial Day- Labor Day, with 9 tours a day, 7 days a week. Off season tours are available by appointment only.
