Completed in 1908, the Story Fish Hatchery is operated by the Wyoming Game & Fish Department and is a perfect spot for a family outing or picnic. The visitor's center is open April 15 through September 15 with many educational displays.

Lake trout hatchlings occur in April and May. Spawning is in October. Bring a quarter and get a handful of feed, a special diet for fish in the settling pond.
