Located on Little Piney Creek at the foot of the Bighorn Mountains, the Rafter Y is one of the few working ranches which accommodate a small number of guests. has two two bedroom and two three bedroom old fashioned, and green roofed log cabins that sleep a total of 20 people. Each cabin has a full bath, living room, fireplace, front porch, and screened in sleeping porch. Meals are served in family style with fresh vegetables and eggs from the ranch. Horseback riding, fishing in a stocked fishing hole, horseshoes, swimming, sight seeing, mountain biking, hiking are some activities. Historical sites include Fort Phil Kearny, Fetterman Monument, Wagon Box Fight, Hole-in-the-Wall and Outlaw Cave, Indian Rock Art Cave, Jim Gatchell Museum, and Hoofprints of the Past Museum.
