This region of Wyoming contains historic sites and landmarks that allow the visitor to experience the Old West at it was seen by Oregon-bound pioneers who traveled through in wagon trains during the 1840's. The Oregon Trail through central Wyoming is the route they took.Other significant places in Oregon Trail- Rendezvous Country include Torrington, Fort Laramie, Wheatland, Chugwater and Guernsey State Park.
