This is a four-season, multiuse recreation area which encompasses aver 1,500 sq. miles of land. There is a resort area which offers year-round activities including hiking, horseback riding and cross-country skiing. There are visitor information centers located throughout Kananaskis Country which offer brochures and information about the area.
