Located in
Girdwood 45 miles south of
Anchorage via the
Seward Hwy, this is Alaska's largest ski resort. The chateau-style Westin Alyeska Prince Hotel has 307 rooms, four restaurants and two lounges, plus an indoor pool and fitness facility.
A 60-passenger aerial tram takes sightseers and skiers from the base to the mountaintop at 2300 feet.
Night skiing is available at certain times during the November-April snow season.
