Anderson is located in Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area on the Nenana River. Anderson is reached by the access road that joins Parks Hwy at Mile 283.5. Anderson is 6 miles northwest of Clear, which is a restricted military installation. The town is the site of Anderson Riverside Park, a 616-acre park and campground with 40 sites on the Nenana River. It is the site of the annual Anderson Bluegrass Festival held annually the last weekend of July. There is a 3,900 airstrip at Clear and a 2,500 airstrip at Clear Sky Lodge.
