The Soldotna Parks & Recreation operates two campgrounds totaling over 200 spaces along the Kenai River, with fishing walkways, boardwalks and boat launching ramps.

Swiftwater Campground is on East Redoubt St off Sterling Hwy at Mile 94.1. It is in the area of the Soldotna "Y", where the road forks.

Centennial Park Campground is 0.1 mile from Sterling Hwy on Kalifornsky Beach Rd. Register at either park. There are campsites for tents and RV's, but no hookups.
