Just a fifteen-minute walk from the Wrangell city dock, visitors can explore Petroglyph Beach, where ancient Native peoples carved symbols in the rocks.

More than 70 petroglyphs were once counted on the beach; today, there are about 20. An information kiosk is at the head of the short trail to the beach.
