Egegik Village Library, serving an area of 115 residents, has a collection of 5,000 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 300 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 390 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes.
Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $1,760. Patrons make 2,200 visits annually, and check out materials 3,700 times. Twenty-six percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
