Prudhoe Bay is located in North Slope Borough. Prudhoe Bay and Deadhorse are at the end of the Dalton Hwy. There is a security gate and travel beyond this checkpoint is on oil company roads in the public access section.
The North Slope Borough includes several oilfields and tours are restricted to commercial tour outfits. The Deadhorse airport serves the area with scheduled flights to Anchorage and Fairbanks.
