Wood-Tikchick State Park is the largest state park in the nation, at 1.6 million acres. The park was created in 1978.
Park facilities are few, with great emphasis placed upon low impact camping. Named for its two separate systems of large, interconnected, clear lakes, the park is characterized by its water based ecosystems.
The Wood-Tikchick Ranger Station is open seasonally and can be reached late May through late September at 907-842-2375.
