Wrangell Mountains Center is an institute for environmental education, research, and arts in
Wrangell-St Elias NP and Preserve. The building which houses the center is a former hardware store in downtown
McCarthy, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Many elderhostel programs are offered through the center, as well as retreats, workshops, and more.
