"A Proud Heritage A Progressive Future" |
Andalusia is the largest city in the county seat (of which it is the county seat). It is located in Covington County (Southeast Region), between Evergreen and Opp along Highway 84.
Andalusia has plenty to choose from when visiting the area. This charming town in the southern part of Alabama has a great choice of restaurants to choose from and plenty of places to find a comfortable bed from the many hotels and motels.
The area has a rich history of the arrowhead Indians and the Indian mounds. The relics in the area show that when the early explorers Ponce de Leon and DeSoto came through the area that they named the area after Andalusia Province Spain.
