Childersburg

Proclaimed as the Oldest Continually Occupied City in America Dating to 1540, Childersburg calls home the Talladega County (North Region). It is southeast of Birmingham between Harpersville and Oak Grove along Highway 280 near DeSoto Caverns Park putting it in the Birmingham, Alabama metro area.


Near the city is the Kymulga Grist Mill and the Kymulga Covered Bridge. They are a historic area to the city that are a great place to go when visiting the area.
Above the city is the Logan Martin Lake where visitors and residents may enjoy a day fishing on the lake or just boating on the water. Local facilities are available for every need on the lake.
The Talladega National Forest is also nearby, just east of the city, and is a great place to enjoy the day having a picnic or just taking a hike. Activities inside the city can take place at the Park and Recreation Center.
