Pettus Museum is dedicated to the preservation of local history from the North Alabama area, but goes much further as the collection includes items from all over the world. Items dating back at least to the Jurassic Period may be found here along with other items such as arrowheads, military uniforms, national flags, sports items, vintage promotional items, autographs and photographs. This privately-held collection contains an estimated 20,000 items.
