Eufaula

"Bass Capital of the World"

Eufaula is named for a Creek Indian settlement near the area and is located in Barbour County (Southeast Region).


The area is home to the Lake Eufaula where many boating and fishing activities take place. Many local shops are available for all your water-sport needs.
Many local golfing opportunities are available in the area including the Lakepoint State Park Resort and the Red Eagle Golf Course. The courses offer both 9 and 18 hole opportunities for all levels of skill.
The Shorter Mansion, Hart House, and the Chattahoochee Trace are also in the local area with the Superior Pecan Company proving a visitor center for all passing through the area.
The city is also home to the Eufaula National Wildlife Refuge proving many animals from all over the country a place to rest.
Some of the history of the city can be found at the Historic Shorter Cemetery and the Seth Lore and Irwinton Historic District. These are excellent places to visit and see the past of a city with rich history.
