This is an outstanding example of neoclassical architecture. Built in 1884 by wealthy cotton planter Eli Sims Shorter II, the mansion was enlarged and completed in 1906. The restored house is furnished with antiques. Brochures are available at the mansion on self-guided driving tours of Eufaula.
