Jacksonville

In the foothills of the Choccolocco Range, Jacksonville is located in Calhoun County (North Region), along Highway 21.


With the city being near the Fort McClellan Military Reservation and the city of Anniston, the location places it near the Talladega National Forest as part of the Anniston, Alabama metro area.
The city was named after Andrew Jackson, a military hero to the area. The city now has many historical places including the Dr Francis Medical Museum, the Chief Ladiga Trail, and the The Gallant Pelham Statue.
The city is full of local activities including baseball, football, soccer, the Stoney Brook Golf Course offering a great variety of difficulty to all ages.
