"Friendliest City in the South"

Founded in 1889, Luverne is located in Crenshaw County (Southeast Region), between Montgomery and Opp on U.S. Highway 331.

This city, beginning because of the railroad, is rich in history and has plenty of places to visit while in the area. The city has a traditional past and is pleased with its exceptional home town qualities.
The E.L. Turner, Jr. Recreation Park is an excellent place to enjoy the day along with the Sports Complex in the area. Both offer great recreational activities including basketball, volleyball, tennis, and many more.
