Search Montgomery Alabama

In 1946, three small frame houses made up Jackson Hospital, then a 36-bed facility with 5 physicians on staff. The original founders soon recognized the vital need in Central Alabama for a true community hospital, and further recognized that to successfully accomplish this, the hospital had to expand and be void of private gain. As evidence of this commitment, the original 5 physicians were joined by 7 others in creating Jackson Hospital and Clinic, Inc., a not-for-profit organization.

Today, Jackson Hospital is an impressive health care facility encompassing more than an 11-city block area. Licensed for 379 beds, it ranks among the largest hospitals in Alabama and is widely recognized for the excellence in care it has traditionally provided to all who use its services. Its full complement of medical staff members represents a wide range of specialists, with many physicians being leaders in their fields.
