In July of 1965, Crestwood Hospital opened its doors as a new medical facility on McAlister Drive (off Jordan Lane) in
Huntsville, Alabama. Eventually, due to an expansion of services and an increased number of employees, it became necessary to look for another site, which would provide adequate space. In February of 1982, the hospital moved to its present facility just off Airport Road.
Crestwood is an acute care, 120-bed hospital location in southeast Huntsville, Alabama, off of Airport Road. They have more than 465 physicians on staff representing 50 different specialties. Crestwood Medical Center is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospital Organizations (JCAHO), which is the major hospital accreditation agency in the U.S. Their staff has consistently ranked in the highest percentage of hospitals nationwide in many areas and we are proud to offer a high degree of personalized care to patients treated in our hospital.
