Located in a restored 1872 townhouse, once the home of the mayor of
Mobile. The city's development into a commercial and maritime center is depicted through documents and many of the museum's 100,000 artifacts. Noteworthy collections include horse-drawn carriages, Mardis Gras ball gowns, silver, china, costumes and weapons.
