National African-American Archives

The National African American Archives Museum, located in historic downtown Mobile, is dedicated to preserving the rich history contributed by African Americans, particularly those born in greater Mobile. The rich history of the slave ship Clotilde, coupled with the extraordinary contributions of famous African-American Mobilians, including baseball great Hank Aaron and U.S. Labor Secretary Alexis Herman, is evidenced by calls and visits from national and international guests seeking a culturally diverse source of history.
