Academy for Academics and Arts

Academy for Academics and Arts is Alabama's first magnet school, opened in 1984. A child centered, multi-cultural, integrated curriculum of academics and arts whereby the child develops mastery in language arts, math, science, social studies, and the arts is offered. It uses the latest research based teaching strategies and technologies. Breakfast and lunch are provided. Preference is given to music, dance, and drama.
