Search Rainsville Alabama

Near DeSoto State Park, the chapel was built around a boulder by Colonel Milford W. Howard - orator, lawyer and Populist congressman - shortly before his death in 1937. His ashes are interred in the boulder. The pulpit is made of stones from the Little River. Sunday church services are conducted from March through December at 10 a.m. for residents, park visitors and other visitors to the area.
