William B Bankhead National Forest

Covering 180,000 acres in northwestern Alabama, Bankhead National Forest encompasses lakes, limestone canyons and a natural bridge as well as the 25,986-acre Sipsey Wilderness Area. Recreation areas within the forest include Sipsey River, Corinth, Houston and Brushy lakes and Clear Creek. Hunting for deer, turkeys, squirrels and quails is permitted in season.
