Clinton is located in
Van Buren County (of which it is the county seat). Situated in the
Ozark Mountains north of
Conway, between
Fairfield Bay and Crabtreee along Hwy 16, at the most western edge of Greers Ferry Lake.
The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 2,422, an increase of 209 since 1990.
Every Labor Day the National Championship Chuck wagon races are held in Clinton. The town also has a natural limestone bridge that is something you have to see if you are in the Clinton area.
