Fairfield Bay is located in
Cleburne County northeast of
Conway, between
Clinton and
Heber Springs on Hwy 16, situated along the northern most arm of Greers Ferry Lake.
The Little Red River below the dam is a world renowned fishery for German browns and rainbow trout. An island protruding from Greers Ferry Lake, Sugarloaf Mountain, and offers naturalists an outstanding 1.6 mile nature trail, (which won a national landscape design award) showcases nature's variety of vegetation as well as sandstone formations. The island is a game refuge with deer, raccoon, opossum, fox, mink, turkey, and more wildlife.
Golf (two 18-hole championship golf courses) and a variety of fishing are favorites for many locals throughout the picturesque surroundings.
