The Fort Smith Flying Club is a non-profit organization created to promote flying and flight training in the Arkansas River Valley region. Pilots and student pilots alike are invited to join. They currently own one airplane, a 1978 Cessna 172N. The FAA requires 40 hours of flight training. The training is divided into solo time and time with a Flight Instructor.
