Washington Regional Medical Center, established in 1950, is the flagship facility of Washington Regional Medical System. It is a private, not-for-profit medical center and is locally owned and governed. More people in Northwest Arkansas turn to Washington Regional for maternity care, emergency care, and inpatient and outpatient hospital services than any other hospital or health system in the region. Washington Regional's medical staff of 300 physicians is the region's largest and they represent almost every medical specialty.
