Arkansas State Hospital

The Arkansas State Hospital (ASH) is licensed by the Arkansas Department of Health and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, formerly known as HCFA, and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). The hospital includes 90 beds for acute psychiatric admission; a 60-bed forensic treatment services program which offers assistance to circuit courts throughout the state; a 16-bed adolescent treatment program for youth 13-18; and a program for juvenile sex offenders.
