Murfreesboro is located in
Pike County (of which it is the county seat) west of
Arkadelphia between
Kirby and
Nashville along Hwy 27, on the banks of the Little Missouri River near Lake Greeson and Narrows Dam.
The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 1,779, an increase of 53 since 1990.
