Springdale is located in Washington County just north of Fayetteville between Tontitown and Sonora along US Hwy 412 on the banks of the White River near the Oklahoma and the Missouri boarders. Beaver Lake State Park is also situated to the north of Springdale.
The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 40,287, an increase of 10,342 since 1990.
Springdale is part of the Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers, Arkansas metro area.
This community is known for its poultry industry and has long been a regional leader in agriculture, but the city’s business community offers so much more. As the region has grown, so has the city. More than 75 manufacturing plants are located here, producing a wide variety of products. Northwest Technical Institute is also located in Springdale, as well as many recreational opportunities for both rural and urban tastes.
