The Archaeological Adventures program works in cooperation with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management to help record sites on public lands in an effort to save these fragile treasures for posterity. Guides are qualified Arizona Site Stewards, professional archaeologists, and professional photographers. The recording process consists of mapping, photographing and documenting the site and its related artifacts. You are invited to join these experts and volunteers for an opportunity to experience historical discovery first-hand. The work program is not strenuous and requires no experience; your time and care are needed to ensure the program's success as no tax dollars are used to assist the BLM with this work. Besides the personal enjoyment of your discovery process, your efforts will contribute significantly to the preservation of Arizona's unique legacy. Participants' names will be recorded in the official documentation records. Please call for more information.
